Intro to Zotero (3/28/12 2p)
Event on 2012-03-28 14:00:00

The GSLIS Tech Lab in Boston is pleased to announce that Professor Candy Schwartz will be leading a workshop on Zotero.

Zotero is one of many reference managers, like RefWorks and EndNote. Reference managers let you collect bibliographic citations on the fly (while you are doing research), organize, tag, and maintain them, use them in documents, and then print bibliographies in almost any style manual format. Zotero does all of this, and also syncs your citations from all of your browsers to a server in "the cloud", lets you create an online profile, and encourages you to identify and follow the citation gathering of other users. In this workshop you will learn how to use Zotero (with its Firefox extension) effectively, and how to create a Zotero profile and follow other users.

Please note:

  • This event is only open to GSLIS students
  • Each session of the workshop will cover the same material

If you have any questions, please email the workshop series staff at gslislab@simmons.edu.

Thank you and we hope to see you there,
