@1blackice1 *You can’t say it wouldn’t happen because it just did* Damn laptop keyboard. -.-

  2. Lloyd Says:

@1blackice1 My point is, say your business, or even your personal files, are being hosted on a cloud server, but the government suspects that some people are using that could server for internet piracy. The FBI can just walk in with a search warrant and shut the whole thing down without notice. And thousands of other legit customers just lost a TON of money. Weather it be profit, or paid memberships, or both. You can say it wouldn’t happen, because it just did.

@twdarkflame My main concern is not security it’s privacy. Look what happened with megaupload. All the security in the world means nothing if the FBI can just walk in with a warrant and take everything. When i posted that comment a month ago i would have had a hard time proving my argument, but now i can. Not everyone used megaupload for piracy, many used it for legitimate reasons. Even small businesses, and those businesses lost money as a direct result of the FBI take down.

  4. Christian Says:

@akaiYaMa9 Do you run your own email server? If not your most precious details are likely already “in the cloud”.

  5. Micheal Says:

@1blackice1 Idealy yes, but in practice no.Think of your customers-why should they trust your company over the cloud providers? Lots of business’s have proved to be terribly insecure with their internal security, even large ones like Sony.
Out of date software with known exploits, unencrypted database’s of passwords, sql inject vulnerabilities etc. Id much rather trust say, Google, over your security as the chances are their security is a heck of a lot better then your own.

  6. Ted Says:

@TheJkim86 Companies are not sure how safe their data is so may of the large organizations will not be going cloud for a while.

  7. Richard Says:

    Awesome!!!

  8. Frank Says:

@TheJDub1228 you must not work in the tech industry. The cloud is everywhere and growing and most big companies globally use cloud computing especially the successful companies.

  9. Kelly Says:

Big companies have sufficient budget to invest in their own applications, but I find it to be great solution for small businesses like mine.

  10. Herbert Says:

Cloud = fart. Internet and servers = internet and servers. Smack a cloud wanka in the face today.

  11. Richard Says:

So basically if someone hacks the one app some MAJOR businesses are using for their profit, I guess they’re all screwed and it can cause a large impact on our very economy – depending on what that “app” is. Great. There’s no such thing as security when it comes to true professional hackers.

Cloud is something that can disappear at any moment!

  17. Jerome Says:

@1blackice1 You live in the governments country, you use their money and you are a worker

If you have a conspiracy against the government you should get out because you sound like a terrorist and traitor

  18. KevinWalker Says:

  19. Jay Says:

what an absolute nightmare, we are going to be enslaved by this

  20. Terrance Says:

one thing for sure, when there’s a software upgrade. It take less time to upgrade as all running equal. We talking about Salesforce own crm, cms, erp, hrm and etc. Its possible there are security flaw on the software, but it difficult to find one.

  21. Jon Says:

    bad bad bad

  22. Kent Says:

I don’t fully agree with the more security aspect. If a security flaw is found in an application then that means that all businesses using that application suffer from that flaw.

  23. Clyde Says:

interesting video to know what is cloud computing. Actually, I am planning to join the upcoming events this coming February 9 at Colorado convention center hosted by cloudfest. org. It’s a one day cloud computing training conference. see you there…
