Introduction
Environmental Management research and practice is increasingly aided by and dependent on information technology. Enviromatics 2011 addresses recent developments in Geomatics and their applications in the field of environmental management. It addresses all aspects of the geo-information cycle, from data acquisition, processing, management, visualization and delivery. Enviromatics 2011 brings together researchers, developers, data providers and users from all over the world to discuss the potentials and challenges of using information technology in environmental management and planning.

The symposium provides a forum to examine and discuss current practices and future directions related to the application of information technology to environmental management and planning. The symposium aims to provide the participants an occasion to share and exchange experiences and research findings, to stimulate more ideas and useful insights regarding the uses of Geomatics and their applications in the field of environmental management, and to debate their views on future research and developments.

Submission and Relevant Information
Abstract submission must be in English with a length of max. 500 words. Full paper submission could be in either English or Arabic. You are asked to identify the research track for your paper. Abstract and full paper submissions should be sent in MS Word or PDF document format.
Abstracts should be e-mailed to scientific committee co-chairs (enviromatics@enviro-arab.com). Full paper submissions are required to be done online through the conference Website: http://www.enviro-arab.com/enviromatics11/openconf/ . Submissions will be peer reviewed.

Conference Proceedings
All papers accepted for publication will be published in a conference proceedings, which will be available to delegates at the time of registration (ISBN 978-9957-8602-8-8). Papers will be also published in a volume of CSAAR Transactions on the Built Environment (ISSN 1992-7320). In Addition, A selection of outstanding papers will be published in a special issue of one of the International Journals in the area.

Best Paper Award (2 Awards)
The Best Paper Award is presented to the individual(s) where their paper has been judged by a separate awards committee, as being the best paper appearing in the conference proceedings. A certificate of achievement and 300 USD will be awarded. Where there is more than one author for a paper, the award shall be divided equally among all authors and each shall receive a certificate. Judging shall be on the bases of general quality, originality, subject matter, and timeliness.
